Special Education

Valley Christian School believes that all children deserve a Christian education and that children with disabilities are not only recipients of ministry, but also minister to others through their uniqueness and individuality reflecting the image of God in humanity. As one of the only Christian schools in the country to offer a variety of Special Education placements, VCS embraces its role as a pioneer in the field of Christian Special Education. Valley Christian School offers both inclusion and self-contained placements for children with disabilities. VCS also services identified gifted students with a concurrent disability (twice-exceptional) students at its Lewis Center Campus. Valley Christian Schools is a registered provider with the Jon Peterson and Autism Scholarships

Gifted Education

Gifted education is under the umbrella of special education. When a student is identified as a “gifted learner” they are identified as having an educational need to be taught differently. At The Lewis Center for Gifted Learning, we believe that our unique learners have the right to be challenged and reach their full potential.
