Hello VCS Intermediate FAMILIES!
A PRAYER FOR OUR STUDENTS
Heavenly Father,
As we approach the end of the first quarter, we thank You for the blessings, growth, and opportunities You have given our students, families, and staff. We pray for continued strength, wisdom, patience, and perseverance as we finish this quarter strong.
Lord, help our students become more like Jesus each day. Teach them to show kindness, compassion, forgiveness, humility, and love in their words and actions. May they choose what is right, encourage one another, and be shining examples of Your light.
We lift up all eight of our Houses—Chazak, Ingenium, Hadracha, Veritas, Huruma, Bekezela, Ukobonga, and Aminifu—as we approach the end of our first House competition. Remind our students that true victory is measured not by points or prizes, but by the character they demonstrate, the relationships they build, and how they honor You. May they compete with integrity, celebrate one another's successes, and show grace whether they win or lose.
Bless our families with peace, unity, and encouragement. Strengthen the partnership between home and school as we work together to raise children who love You and serve others.
May everything we do reflect our mission to Love More, Expect More, and Be More—not just in competition or academics, but in our daily walk with Christ.

WHAT FAMILIES NEED TO KNOW
ARRIVAL & TARDINESS
The tardy bell rings at 7:24 AM.
Please plan for your student to arrive by 7:15 AM, so they have time to enter the building, settle in, and be ready for first period.
Thank you for helping us start each school day on time!
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL SAFETY
Early Pickup
For the safety of our students and to ensure a smooth dismissal:
We cannot release students between 1:45 and 2:20 PM.
If you need to pick up your student early, please arrive before 1:45 PM.
Please remember that early pickup will count against attendance because your student will miss part of their 9th-period class.
Changing Your Child's Dismissal
If your child is changing from bus to car rider or car rider to bus, please call the office at:
Please make changes by 1:45 PM so Mrs. Minnow has time to update KIDaccount.
Thank you for helping us keep the dismissal area clear for buses and ensuring a safe end to the school day!
ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
Regular attendance makes a difference!
Every student in Ohio is expected to attend school every day unless they are sick or otherwise legally excused. Regular attendance supports important outcomes, including academic achievement, reading proficiency, and graduation.
Our goal: Every student, every day, by 7:24 AM!
If your child is absent, please notify the office by note, email, or phone call when they return so we can properly document the absence.

UNIFORMS!
We have POLOS in stock! Shirts are $14. You can pay by cash (exact cash because we have no change), card, or check. You can purchase during the school day, from 10:00-12:00, at the Intermediate Office.

ATHLETICS & SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
A legal parent or guardian must accompany Intermediate students to school games or activities, whether at home or away.
If a student tries to attend a game or activity without the required parent/guardian supervision or permission, we will contact the parent/guardian to arrange pickup.
