This week’s Senior Spotlight shines on a student who has made her mark through leadership, positivity, and quiet determination.
Throughout high school, Brysha'i has been actively involved in Student Council and Science Club, balancing leadership and academic curiosity with grace. Her favorite classes — English and Financial Literacy — reflect both her creative side and her practical mindset for the future.
When asked about her favorite teachers, she couldn’t choose just one. “I would say Mrs. Pixley and Ms. Sample because of what they have been able to teach me and all the memorable times I’ve had in their classes.” The lessons and laughter shared in those classrooms clearly left a lasting impact on her journey.
One of her favorite high school memories was setting up for prom walk-in during her junior year, which she describes as a fun and unforgettable experience. Moments like those — working together and celebrating milestones — are memories she says she will always cherish.
Her biggest accomplishment so far? “Trying to see the good in everything.” That positive outlook is something her friends truly admire. In three words, they describe her as resourceful, kind, and reliable — qualities that have defined her high school experience.
If you’ve heard Jill Scott playing through the halls, it might have been Brysha'i — she’s had the artist on repeat lately. And while she says, “I guess we’ll never know…” when asked what people might not know about her, there is one sweet detail worth sharing: she runs her own baking business.
After graduation, she plans to attend college and explore opportunities related to marine life or writing. Looking ahead, she hopes to either work hands-on with marine life or write stories that people will truly enjoy.
Her advice to underclassmen is heartfelt and empowering: “Don’t give up on what you want to pursue. If you like it, go for it. And don’t care about what people think or say about you. It’s your life — live it.”
When asked what she will miss most, she shared, “All the fun moments in class with friends, especially knowing we’ll all be far away soon.”
With her optimism, ambition, and creative spirit, there’s no doubt she will make waves — whether in the ocean or on the page. Congratulations on an amazing four years!
