Gavin Whitlow is a dedicated senior here at Valley Christian. Known for his strong school spirit and his talent in the VCHS band, Gavin has been an important part of the Valley community for many years. As graduation approaches, here’s a closer look at Gavin and his high school journey.
How long have you been at Valley Christian? 13 years.
What is your favorite memory at Valley? My high school years — laughing and joking with friends.
How does it feel to be a senior? It feels exciting and optimistic.
Who were you as a freshman, and who are you now? As a freshman, I didn’t feel confident speaking out. Now, I’m very outspoken.
What is one thing you stopped caring about, and why? Drama. I just don’t involve myself in it.
What are your goals after high school? To attend NCAT, develop my craft, and grow as a musician in band.
What college are you planning to attend? I am 100% committed to NCAT.
Are you planning to pursue band after high school? Yes, I plan to major in Music Education and continue participating in band in college.
What will you miss most about high school? The people and the community.
Do you have any advice for underclassmen? Take what you do now seriously because it will affect your future.
What has high school taught you? Responsibility is key.
Go-to snack: Peach rings.
Favorite meme or content creator: Speed.
If you were an animal, what would you be? A dolphin.
Favorite teacher or staff member: Mr. Madison.
