Home Athletic Event Policy

The purpose of this policy is to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all participants and spectators attending Valley Christian School (VCS) home athletic events. The school is committed to promoting sportsmanship, community spirit, and student safety at all times.

This policy applies to all home athletic events hosted by Valley Christian School.

Admission Requirements

1. VCS High School Students (Grades 9–12): All students must present a valid VCS student ID badge for entry. Admission may be denied without a current, school-issued ID.

2. VCS Students (Grades K–8): Students in grades K–8 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult at all times. Unaccompanied students in this age group will not be permitted entry.

3. General Public and Visitors: All guests must adhere to VCS rules and regulations while attending the athletic event

4. No Re-Entry Policy: There will be no readmittance to the event once a spectator has exited the facility. The gates will close at halftime, and no additional entry will be permitted thereafter.

Prohibited Items

To maintain safety and order, the following items are strictly prohibited at all VCS home athletic events:

• Bookbags, backpacks, or large bags of any kind

• Outside food or beverages

• Weapons or objects resembling weapons

• Alcohol, tobacco, vaping devices, or illegal substances

• Noise makers, laser pointers, or disruptive items

Spectators carrying prohibited items will be denied entry and may be subject to further disciplinary action.

Code of Conduct

All attendees are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect toward athletes, officials, coaches, and fellow spectators.

• Unsportsmanlike behavior, including taunting, profanity, or harassment, will not be tolerated.

• Spectators who fail to comply with the VCS Code of Conduct may be removed from the premises and may face restrictions on attending future events.

Enforcement

Event staff, security personnel, and administrators reserve the right to enforce this policy at their discretion. All attendees are expected to cooperate fully with school staff and follow their directions promptly.
